  • Lost for words…absolutely amazing!

5 stars plus Lost for words…… The Summer Proposal! Where do I even begin? This is such a riveting, heartwarming, feel good read and one I never wanted to end! I’m truly not sure if I can do this book justice in my review and the myriad of emotions I felt. An absolute must read and a definite highlight of my week! Georgia and Max are fire. They have sizzling chemistry but the way they connected in their friendship was really quite something. Their story is literally one of the best reads of 2022. Ms Keeland has no doubt poured her heart and soul into the words penned, she should be incredibly proud! Absolutely amazing!

  • Sizzling chemistry....perfect guy!

Georgia Delaney's life is in limbo ever since her ex-fiance, Gabriel said he needed a break and decided to fly to Europe for an 18 month sabbatical teaching job in London. The kicker....he said he wants an open relationship. It has been a year that he's been gone and Georgia finally decided to try and go on a blind date her mom's friend sets up. Imagine Georgia's surprise when she is waiting for her date and a cute guy comes up to her at the bar and starts pretending that he is her blind date. Everything is going great until her real date shows up. Pretend blind date guy tells her he will be at the hockey game and gives her a ticket to come find him if her real date turns out to be a dud. (BEST MEET CUTE EVER!!!!) Since Georgia's date turns out to be a dud, she ends up going to the game. Imagine her surprise when all of a sudden she sees the face of the cute guy on the Jumbotron and he is none other than Max Yearwood aka "Pretty Boy" of the New York Wolverines hockey team! Max is really drawn to Georgia and he gets her to agree to a summer only fling. By then Gabriel will be back and Max will be moving to California to play for the Blades. He's secretly hoping that she will forget all about the other guy. During the summer these two go on many fun outings. I loved how Max was such a fun and playful guy and was helping her to complete her wish list. By the end of summer it was obvious that these two were in love but because of something from Max's past, it wasn't that simple. When something shocking happens, it is just what Max and Georgia need to bring these two together for good so they could get their happy ending. I just LOVED this super fun, super sexy story. If I was single, I'd want Max for myself. He was perfect! Georgia was a sweet woman who thought her life was all planned out but instead it was all yanked away from her. Together these two made a wonderful couple. I highly recommend this book....I couldn't put it down.

  • loved it

There are not enough words to describe this incredible story. It was fate from their first meeting. Max is a man that you can only dream about. He is sweet, protective, perfect in every way. The way he treats Georgia. When he helps her accomplish everything on her “not” bucket list. It is something that Gabriel never did. He gets Georgia. He understands her. He makes it his business to get to know her and what she wants. Her fears, her accomplishments, and everything else. He takes the time to get to know her. He praises her for how she is with her business. Something that she has done all by herself and built to a remarkably successful endeavor. Even though he knew that his summer proposal was temporary he gave his all. The time he spent with her, the things he did with her. Their romance is what love stories are made of. You will cry happy tears as well as sad tears. You will be glued to every word until the last. There is so much I want to say about reading this story, but I fear I would give too much away. This story is perfect. Max and Georgia are perfect for each other. What I love about Max Is his understanding of Georgia’s dedication to her company. He also understands how she is an over analyzer. Her way of overthinking all situations, whether they be business or personal. He not only accepts it but tries to help her overcome it. Summer Proposal is a great start to 2022. A story that is going to be ridiculously hard to pass as the best of the year. There are not enough stars for this story. Vi Keeland has truly outdone herself.

  • The best meet-cute, ever!

Vi starts out The Summer Proposal with the best meet cute, ever! I loved Max right from the start! He may just be one of my favorite Vi book boyfriends. After getting caught pretending that he’s Georgia’s blind date, he offers her a ticket to meet him at a hockey game. Little did Georgia know she wouldn’t just be meeting him there, but that he’d be one of the players! As usual, I quickly fell into this story and submerged myself totally in what I was reading. I really cannot say enough good stuff about Max, because all through this book, he just had me swooning at every turn. As Georgia was quick to ask him, “how are you not taken?” because he was just the ultimate man. Thoughtful, caring, protective, a little Alpha, a little dominant, a dog lover. This guy is just perfect! Georgia and Max played off each other SO well. She was very regimented, had to make lists and overanalyze everything, and he was a fly by the seat of his pants kind of guy. It took Georgia quite a while to be able to relax and let go, and there was no one more perfect for her to do that with than Pretty Boy Yearwood. So lucky! She’s SO lucky! I must admit I really did not warm up to Georgia very much through most of the book. The underlying storyline going on with her is one of my very least favorite things to read about, and I absolutely did not agree with many of the decisions she made in regard to that, but she won me over by the end with her devotion and dedication to Max. There were some very special secondary characters that I fell in love with, particularly Otto. Maggie was quite a hoot to read about, and I really loved Max’s entire family, most especially Four! I love how Vi always has some kind of plot twist in her stories, and I was trying to be so diligent in looking for the clues so I could figure out what it was going to be. Even though I pretty much saw what was going to be coming, when it happened, I was not prepared. Kudos to Vi for raking my heart over the coals! And I don’t know why this happens, but it happens in every single book. I always cry at the end! They’re always happy tears, but why? Why do I get so verklempt every single time?? I’m such a sap! Since hockey is my all-time favorite sport to watch, I am SO happy Vi gave us Pretty Boy Yearwood to read about! He’s definitely going into my personal hockey hottie hall of fame!
