I wanted to like this book because I am a fan of this author’s earlier work, the excellent “Abigail” but I could not. This book has the exact same story arc as this author’s “Unmasking Zoey” and this author’s “Shared Fantasies”. Heck, even shares the same cardboard characters, for example there’s “Zoey” and there’s “Dan”. The sex? Exactly the same, for instance, the daisy chain interlude. There is little imagination and no effort to the writing. You have the obligatory single sex scene, the obligatory lesbian sex scene, the obligatory group sex scene with - surprise, surprise (?) - anal sex; you know, the usual all told in the bland, passionless, completely predictable manner of a robocaller dialing possible voters. Finally, there is the, weak dialogue - apparently written from a teenage boy’s vague remembrances of his last wet dream. Overused language and wornout progressions. “No, it’s too big” “No, it’s won’t fit” “Oh” “Ugh” “Oh” “Ugh” to SUDDENLY “ Oh, yeah, baby” “It’s so good” “Harder”“Oh” “Ugh”.
