    Wired for Frustration

"Wired" For the Billionaire's Pleasure - Luke & Claire #1 is an erotic romance with the emphasis on the erotic. Billionaire developer Luke and construction company owner/electrician Claire are romantically involved but the plot is on the thin side until about two thirds through the book. And then just as a plot starts to emerge, wham! We're hit with a cliffhanger. I frickin' hate cliffhangers, especially when the reader isn't forewarned. Publishers should have to clearly state if a book in a series is a stand alone or not. In my opinion, a surprise cliffhanger is worth a one star reduction in rating.

    Wired

Wired by Evelyn Adams started off well and then seemed to fizzle out for me. This book focuses on Luke Masters, and arrogant, hot billionaire who builds buildings and Claire English an electrical contractor who is sassy and strong and knows what she wants out of life and it definitely isn't Luke Masters. Claire is trying to be a woman in a mans world and people like Luke Masters keep trying to belittle her, especially when she points out faults with the electrics in his buildings and tries to help him sort them out. From there, starts a whirlwind romance with Claire trying to balance her business of electrics, flipping houses a father who is sick and trying to find the money to keep everything afloat. In comparison to Luke who has build his money and reputation from years of hard work. He sees Claire's potential and tries to help her, albeit a little bit heavy handed. The chemistry between these two characters is hot and I did enjoy the book, but it was just an okay book for me as I felt like I knew what was going to happen at the end. Definitely an easy read which will wile away a few hours of a chilled day.

    Excellent plot.

Really liked the background plot in this book. The amount of erotic scenes detracted so much from the book. while the scenes showed the intensity between the two I felt two such scenes would have been enuff. Immensely disapointed that the story ended being continued.
