    Gripping, as ever.

This was particularly interesting due to the historic content, concerning the somewhat prolofic criminal gangs of New York, many of whom were obviously Irish. Roy Grace, I find particularly gripping because he doesn't fit any of the 'standard copper' profiles; alchoholic: loner: depressive etc. He is just a Police officer doing his best against almost insuperable odds. Thank you Peter James, for entertaining me once again. Keep 'em coming!

    Dead Man's Time

A very engaging read, particularly the second half of the novel. It took a while to understand the time flips in the first half of the novel between 1920s New York and 2012 Brighton. Once that became quite clear it was easier to connect the two time frames and how the past influenced/determined the present. The connection between the son's wife and Aileen was a little extra surprise.
