    not what i thought . . . better

OK I am the first to scream I don't do menages. I am so glad I let it go and read this one. I admit it I only read it because of the author but oh well. The story is gripping, devastating, the ugliest of ugly as you get the background on what has her with a mantra that declares "I am strong". It's molestation and rape and betrayal of the worse kind. Until she meets them. They let her know she is safe. They let her know she is whole. They let her know she is loved. It isn't an easy story to read no this author doesn't do those kinds of reads. It is ugly, it is brutal as she does so well. It tears you to shreds as they learn their truths which she feeds you one tidbit at a time. Then slowly, gently, lovingly, they put the pieces back together. In the end you are allowed to breathe again.

    Fantastic read

I’m speechless. I sat and read half of this last night and as soon as I could this morning I finished reading it. Ella’s running from her past. She needs to so run to keep herself safe. Moving to London she hopes for a fresh start and I can’t help but giggle at knowing what’s ahead for her (mostly good). Carter and Bennett have been friends since school. They are very very close. When Ella catches Carters eye and then Bennett’s they know they have to have her. But is she too broken and has she really escaped from the past. This storyline is brilliant. It’s in no way predictable and parts had me gasping. The sexy scenes are oh so hot. If you like dark ménage reads then I highly recommend you read this one. It’s oh so good. I absolutely loved it.

    heartbreaking at times

Reading a review for this book is not easy. If I am honest I struggled with this book. For the first part of the book that was caused mostly because I couldn’t stand Carter and in lesser degree Bennet. The whole “I am God’s gift to woman and I don’t take no for an answer” attitude just annoyed me. I grow to like them after seeing them take care of Ella. Ella was an amazing character. A lot stronger then she thought she was. The other part is that the book jumped around a bit. Going very abruptly for scene to scene. I missed transmissions. I just didn’t really connect with the book..

    Intense

3.6 Burning Hearts I enjoyed the premises of this story The plotline is well developed and engaging - The romance and suspense blended smoothly though there where areas I truly wished for more with regards to the characters and back scenes- but that is me.. I am greedy that way I savored the relationship between Ella and Carter and Bennett- their relationship was delicate and sensually built- I do wish there was a bit more detail with regards to Carter and Bennett (you have to read it I am not telling) Overall it was a very intense and emotional story The characters were detailed and progressive - I especially enjoyed Carter There were some pieces of the puzzle that were missing and left me with too many questions, and certain scenes felt rushed which is why I dropped a star I read a complimentary copy
