    Catch 22

This is one of the best books I have ever read. Depicting the futility of war in a sharp and ironic way, it also shows that hope still exists even in the darkest times. Absolutely Brilliant.

    Repetitive

Agree with the previous reviewer: I bought this because of its "iconic" status, but also had to give up half way through. Admittedly, it is way out of my preferred genres, but the thuddingly repetitive use of the 'catch 22' circular arguments became tedious as well as the relentless character portraiture. I can see how it would have been amusingly satirical in its time, but it makes for a yawningly anachronistic read in 2017.

    Catch-22

The basic premice was intriguing however it quickly lost its lustre with the depiction of the female charters being too negative.

    Painful

I know this is supposed to be a classic…… I've battled trying to read this book for months and have eventually given up half way through.
