  • Well written

This book was so cute. I love Brax and Tal together. So much tension and build up then explosion when they finally get together. Really love how Kaylea wrote Tal character and even with what happened to her she is still a strong capable women. Tal does not need a Man’s help but also is not afraid to admit when she does need help. Bringing true stories to attention, love this.

  • A great addition to a great series!

Lethal Protector, book 3 in the Rifle Creek series is another awesome edge of your seat story about two friends who have always been there for each other but have been hiding their true feelings for one another. But they were put in a situation where danger surrounds them and their feelings were no longer able to be hidden. Tala and Braxton are such a fantastic couple, but it is Tala who I admired the most. After losing part of her leg while in Afghanistan she did not give up. She worked hard in her recovery and now she is training to be a biathlete. As for Braxton, he is at a crossroads, he can either re-enlist in the military or officially take part in Rifle Creek Tactical, where he is the third partner of. He is in town for a bit to try to figure out what he wants to do, while also trying to keep his attraction to Tala hidden. He feels he is not good enough for her and can not give her what she wants and deserves. With Braxton in town, Tala asks him to help train her in the shooting department. During one of the training sessions they were forced to seek shelter and hide from a wanted fugitive. Put in such dire conditions, they have each other’s back and their hidden love for one another is finally revealed. Overall I did enjoy Tala and Braxton’s story. It was action packed and the suspense had me on pins and needles. When they finally were able to be honest with each other about their feelings, it was fantastic to see. Lethal Protector was a great addition to a wonderful series.

  • Great series

A good exciting quick read. Who doesn’t love a hot Canadian soldier finally admitting he’s found the love of his life, of course not without some bumps, bruises and an avalanche or two along the way. Given some challenges in her life and career, Tala is without a doubt is the strongest h and knows what she wants!

  • 4.25⭐ A great end to a wonderful series

Lethal Protector is the third and final story in Kaylea Cross's wonderful Rifle Creek series and brings together Tala and Braxton, who are friends that have had feelings for each other for quite some time; and also share the history of combat and a traumatic event in the theatre of war. And with flashbacks to how Braxton and Tala first meet, their time in a war zone, and the event that resulted in Tala becoming an amputee. This really was a great read. Not to mention it was sweet, suspenseful and inspiring as Tala proves that losing a limb is not the end of the journey it's merely the beginning of a new one. And I was definitely engaged throughout. Would happily recommend.
