  • Depressing, complex and ultimately disappointing.

This novel follows several apparently disparate characters, some in a dystopian present and some in a dystopian future. They are all psychologically crippled and all have been chosen to play a part in a very long game by a hidden actor with unimaginable intellectual resources. However, the solution to the mystery at the heart of the book requires us to believe that this hidden actor is also incredibly stupid. Too many loose ends and internal contradictions for a story which requires such a suspension of disbelief without them.

    Thanks for your feedback!
