  • Suspenseful and Steamy

Winter Hawk by Rachel Grant is part of the Raptor Security Agency series. It is an intriguing holiday romantic suspense story involving drones, revenge and just how far a psychopath would go. The one in the villains’ cross hairs is Leah Ellis, a brilliant computer code writer. Unexpectedly her hero is a Raptor operative, Nate Sifuentes. However, trust does not come as fast as the attraction between them does. The holidays are part of the background especially at big show down, but I would not call this a holiday story. Instead it is a suspense story that happens at the holidays. This works well. With subplots and several personal agendas in play this is an intriguing read. Because of this the guilty party are not evident at the beginning so the reader discovers the answers along with the two main characters. Several other Raptor operatives come into the story, but the focus is on Nate and Leah. It was good to see the DC authorities as capable good guys in the story, so Nate is not a Rambo heading out on his own. There is an instant lust that quickly turns to love factor between Nate and Leah with open door bedroom scenes as Nate and Leah get to know each other. I mention this because I did not remember Ms. Grant as being quite so explicit in the other books of hers that I had read. An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • Disappointing story

Characters were one dimensional. Plot quite predictable with not a lot of tension. Skipped through a lot of the story to get it done.

  • Winter Hawk

Ohhhh loved Hawk and Leigh’s story. Leigh is the coder for drone that is coming out at Christmas. It’s a special drone with a special code. Leigh is fired after coding is complete. Hawk enters to escort her home, when someone tries to kill her. Can Hawk keep her alive long enough to help her figure out what’s going on? Love this author! I read and reviewed this advanced complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley

  • Another exciting story from Rachel Grant!

I have every book Grant’s written and am always waiting for more! Her characters have layers and warmth, drawing you into their dilemmas. The plot is tight and as always, well-researched. I love meeting old characters again in a way that is genuine.

    Thanks for your feedback!
