  • Family and neighborhood run deep

Zuni is a product of her environment. She is at a turning point, preparing to apply fo college, her neighborhood is changing and she is not ready. Darius Darcy is the new rich kid on the block. He is everything that Zuri hates. These two must come to terms about who they are, how to accept change and to see if they can find common ground. Enjoyed this book, well written, characters were realistic and layered. I could see and feel the neighborhood.

  • Pride

The moment I found out this was a modern retelling of Pride&Prejudice I knew I had to get my hands on it. I was really hyped about it, and I'm so glad it didn't disappoint! Pride is insightful and real and knows how to maintain Austen's book essence while being relatable to this modern times. I think it's a masterful adaptation and I highly recommend it.
