    4.25 stars--emotional

4.25 stars--PULL ME CLOSE is the first installment in Sidney Halston’s contemporary, adult PANIC erotic, romance series focusing on Moreno family owned Miami nightclub known as Panic. This is co-owner Niko Moreno, and publishing editor Katherine Wilson’s story line. Told from dual first person perspectives (Niko and Katherine) PULL ME CLOSE is a story about the repercussions of emotional trauma that lives on in the mind and manifests itself in various forms including PTSD, anxiety disorders, and emotional problems. Katherine has agoraphobia and panic attacks due to a horrific event in her past. Close to fifteen years has passed but our heroine is unable to let go of the memories, the sounds, the sights, and the loss. Enter Niko Moreno-the co-owner of club Panic, and the man who will help Katherine-one step at a time. The relationship between Katherine and Niko begins acrimoniously. Niko believes Katherine is an addict and OD’d at his Miami nightclub Panic, and our heroine struggles with revealing the truth. Katherine is ashamed of her disorder, and her attraction to Niko forces our heroine to walk out of her comfort zone and confront the man who quite possibly saved her life. What ensues is the building relationship between Niko and Katherine, and Katherine’s struggles with the outside world. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic, and intense. The secondary and supporting characters are colorful and animated. We are introduced to Niko’s twin brother, and co-owner of the Panic club Mateo Moreno. Niko and Mateo continue to struggle to keep Panic afloat in light of their father’s criminal past. David and Geo-Niko’s best friends-are constantly on the move between Paris and North America; and Katherine’s sister Rose whose upcoming wedding is adding stress to our heroine’s already closed-off life. The world building focuses on several crippling anxiety disorders and the aftermath of a trauma very few people could ever forget. Katherine struggles with panic attacks that have led to a number of secondary disorders including agoraphobia and OCD, and the reader is pulled into one woman’s nightmare that never ceases to end. The precipitating drama is easily deduced. There is a slight cross-over with Sidney’s WORTH THE FIGHT series. PULL ME CLOSE is an emotional story line. There is romance, $ex, falling in love and looking forward to the future. The premise is realistic, sensitive and dramatic; the characters are passionate and charismatic; the romance is captivating and seductive. PULL ME CLOSE is a topical story line that looks at the trauma and drama affecting our lives.

    Amazing

WOW...this is a powerful emotional roller coaster of a story and these characters stayed with me for days after I finished reading it. The bravery and determination displayed by Katherine gripped my heart. She's a young woman dealing with debilitating anxiety issues but her determination to overcome these issues and live life is a thing of beauty. Watching Nico's gruff hardened exterior crumble as he really got to know Katherine was also heartwarming. The kindness he shows her and the care he takes with her brought tears to my eyes. The author did an amazing job with this story and the delicate subject matter that it tackles. I could almost feel Katherine's emotions through the pages. If your looking for an emotionally charged but upbeat book, look no further. This one is for you! Put this one high on the must read list!! I highly recommend it.

    great

Pull me close is such great unique read. The story was really well written the about real struggle real problem not about some meaningless trouble in life, but real deep issues. I loved both characters. I loved how Katherine was weak but strong. Nico had her really well described and it was all true. I loved Nico as well he was so supportive; I loved his passion positive possession. I loved his beard and long hair and their physical activity realllly hot and sizzling. Great read. Recommended! Enjoyable start to a new series

It was hard to see how this story could have a happy ending. Katherine's PTSD was so extreme, and I know this does not go away fast, if at all. Because of the time that passed through this story, I grew to love the grumpy but loving Nico who did what he could to help Katherine. I had to keep turning pages to see how they made it to the other side of this disorder. As the story progressed, I enjoyed it more. I recommend this story highly. I received a copy of this story through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.

You need to pull this book close and read!

You know when you read a book and it talks to your soul? This is one of those books. This is the first book in the Panic series. Reading about someone with such severe anxiety and a disorder that is crippling to so many is a hard thing to do by Sidney Halston makes it worth the read, Katherine and Nico are very well developed characters that make you want to be around to help out or just hang. Katherine is an agoraphobic that is talked into leaving her house to go to club Panic for her sisters bachelorette party, while there she has a panic attack, that is when Nico finds her and kicks her to the curb thinking she is just another junkie that ended up in his club. Nico is one of those characters that you want to scream at in the beginning but then you fall for his charms throughout the story. Katherine although she has anxiety is someone I would like to get to know. I don't want to tell you all the book so dust off your one click finger and get to reading. Thank you for giving us this amazingly written book and I can't wait to see what happens next.
