Evolution is the title of the latest anthology from the Southern Ohio Writers' Collaborative, a theme that has made many of us think long and hard about what that means to each of us.After all, species evolve, as do people. As women we certainly do: we go from little girl to teen, to young woman to wife and mother, to grandmother. Along the way, we may lose interest in some things, but develop new interests later. We fall in and out of love—sometimes we have that love taken from us...

This year's anthology, the fifth by the Southern Ohio Writers Group, Seasons, is indicative of a lot of things: the sweetness and the bitterness of life, the passing seasons and the passing of time. This is the first anthology we have published since the pandemic.The Southern Ohio Writers and Readers Collaborative, SOWriters for short, is a writers' critique group which meets in Chillicothe, Ohio.
