The TowerThe three children who fled from their mother, Gremara, seem to have found a safe haven in northern Kelshan. Because of the Kelshan military suffering such a heavy defeat at the battle of Ferris Lake and the death of Imperator Jemin, bands of renegade arms men roam the countryside. Tika must find a more secure place for the children where they can grow and learn to survive alone.

Emperor Kasheen is enraged when one of his Crystal fleet is taken by pirates. Tika of Iskallia traces them to a settlement hidden in the land of snow in the far north of Drogoya.
