‘Wingnettes’ is a derivation of ‘vignettes’. Vignettes itself are not long or full narrative pieces. They can be short fiction of descriptive sketches or moments, depicting a certain feeling, character or setting, a literary sketch or a scene. The author calls his vignettes ‘wingnettes’ for the wings on the author shown on the book cover.
