An epic rock and roll story!

I felt like I was touring with the band, watching the drama, and rooting so much for the boys to work things out! Danica has a backbone, and it is a breath of fresh air to not have some wilting, withering, waif looking for prince charming to rescue her. She's going to make her own way, and stand on her own feet. While Alder does everything he can to hold together the band, he knows that she's there and supporting him. Strong characters, strong emotions, and the dangerous life of up and coming rock stars trying not to self-destruct. A gritty, intimate look at the dark side of the music world.

    The Rocker and the Model

I <3ed this story! It kept drawing me in!! This is a wild story! Danica has been made to join the band Winter's Wrath on tour to change her modeling/acting image! Alder & Danica have hit it off instantly but all around them the band seems to have a bus load of problems. If the problems aren't fixed soon the band might be totally destroyed! :(

    Lots of feels

This book was so good!!!! I find that band and rock books can make me angry with how flippant the characters are in their lifestyle, but this had none of that Feelings, feels and more feelers, these were real people in extraordinary situations, but it was their lives. They didn't moan about it, they lived it and dealt with the life they had. They embraced it, and acted and reacted to it, and I loved them all the more for it Danica and Alder had me hooked from the beginning, but as each character was introduced, I loved them too, and that doesn't happen often. I wanted to take them and set them up on shelf to keep them safe and out of harms way, even Brave Needless to say, I am hooked and will be all over any new books in the series

Backlash is more than sex and rock and roll!

Backlash (Winter's Wrath Book 1) is more than the standard sex, drugs and rock and roll you would think comes from taking an inside look into a metal band on tour. This book isn't solely focused on the rock and roll lifestyle. I liked reading about the band struggling and not being instant rock stars or that Danica wasn't a famous supermodel yet. It made the book more interpersonal and was telling the story of “real people”. The dynamics between all the charters really draw the reader in. I know that Backlash is just hitting the surface in the Winter's Wrath series. Ms. Sommerland set a solid foundation for all the characters to build off of. True to her style, Bianca Sommerland made ménage personable. I love the back history between Adler and Jesse. If you are a fan of the underdog getting a happy ending – you too will love this couple! The progression of Danica and Adler’s relationship was almost wholesome and a tone I didn’t expect to fine in a rock novel! Don’t get me wrong it’s still hot and steamy! Bianca has not left those good parts out ;-) And lastly seeing the friendship build between Danica and Jesse blossom was the perfect addition to this threesome. I can’t wait to see more from them. Overall I really enjoyed Backlash (Winter's Wrath Book 1). The interactive relationships between all the characters suck you in; the slight suspense keeps you flipping till the very end and rooting for a happy ending will make this book and instant favorite! I can’t wait for more in the Winter's Wrath series!

I hope we hear more of this band

Well, this is the first book where a character made me feel like asking the author to kill him off. Thank goodness he improved his behavior. The story follows the band Winter's Wrath and focuses on Danica and Alder. I loved the guys in this band. Oh my goodness, boy, did I love Tyler. The comments he comes out with just makes you want to laugh and hug him. I loved the surprise cameo appearance of some authors at one of the bands' concerts. I really hope the author writes more of these guys because I am sensing they all have a story to tell, and I can't wait to read them.
