  • Mostly unreadable.

If you plan to write a book, much less a series, in which every other word seems to be "lines," it's best to explain exactly what a "line" is. I forced myself to read a third of this book, and I was never able to tell if a line was some sort of natural force, or if they were alive, or mechanical, or metaphysical. Add in the unnecessary blather about the head of the guild, and I had to give up.

  • Refreshingly different

Your favorite anti hero story with a twist. A totally new technology concept for space travel with in my experience allied with a compelling story line. First time I'll finish a novel at one sitting in a long while indeed. Truly a spanking good read.

  • Brillant aussie authors

Loved this book that is written by 2 aussie sisters. Ian is a fantastic hero who is gentle and great that he does not have to be an alpha male to be powerful and the drver of change in is universe . Great hero and political intrigue.

  • Different and enjoyable

Refreshingly different, hard to put down once started. S. K. Dunstall writes with the style of the great Sci-Fi writers I enjoy, with an interesting, well managed plot that does not lose you on the way. Highly recommended.
