This is a short story of a young man who grows up in abject poverty in a society that does not value education. However, the young man beats all odds to access education. Though it comes as a tough pill yo swallow, the end is worth celebrating for, after some sponsorship by the Whites. The story is set in an African context. In the end, the reader acknowledges the importance of education and philanthropy.
