Julia Perenda woke up that morning to the warmth of sunshine and a cool spring breeze gently tickling her nose with the scent of the lilacs blooming outside her bedroom window. Anticipation washed over her as she struggled to full wakefulness. She knew that this was going to be the best day ever and tried to remember what would make this day better than the many good days preceeding today.

The four new sentient species were the dream of Humans and Quants alike. The George Gaukel's daughters Linda and Tia had chosen species they were close to. It would take many generations and a long journey to reach their objectives.

Terry had just woke up from a nightmare. However, it was not a dream. Earth was blowing itself up, and he was stuck here on Mars, unable to do anything. Well not nothing, he was responsible for several thousand colonist's survival. The worst part was yet to come. Thirteen missiles were headed for Mars. Terry had his work cut out for him. By contract, he was in charge of Mars.

The Hale Astro was a telescope the size of Texas. It's task at the moment was research. They had just happened to focus on a corner of the Triangulum Galaxy. What they found raised more questions than it answered.

Boliar needed fixing. It needed repair all the time. Over four hundred thousand years ago colonist from earth flocked here because it was a uniquely rich land for minerals and had vast underground water reserves. Boliar had been devoid of life or surface features. It had no hills, lakes, or weather. No one knew for sure how it had gained it's earthlike atmosphere, and at this point in it's history, no one really cared.

The continuing saga of Joan whose dream to captain a starship came true when she became the starship. This is the tale of her first mission with a team of both Humans and quantum people. Joan must learn new skills if she is to save a dying race. her team is as green as she is, but they have the quants to help her, but what do you do when even the quants are cut off?
