    Very surprising and unexpected

Sawyer's story was completely unexpected. I've always felt that he was one of the more aloof characters in the Club Sin series. But to see this side of him was surprisingly refreshing. His increasing boredom, the lack of excitement and incentive in Club Sin gave me a bit of a shock considering he is a Master Dom. So when Chloe's innocence is the factor that he finds attractive in her It was a bit of an eye opener. Of course, the circumstances that bring them into close proximity is sad enough but the part I am most glad for is that they both find the passion that seemed to lack in their lives before they came together. So now that this series is coming to an end I guess the even more surprising ending was inevitable. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review

    A Different Look at BDSM

Commanded really took a different look at the BDSM lifestyle and how it works with different relationships. Chloe is about as vanilla as they come, so Sawyer is a bit surprised when he finds himself attracted to her. He feels the need to claim her as his woman and teach her the ways of his world. But instead, he finds himself changing in subtle ways that surprise everyone around him Chloe is blown away by the total hotness that is Sawyer Quinn. But when she finds out he's in the BDSM lifestyle, she has some very serious reservations about pursuing a relationship with him. Things are a bit dicey between them for awhile as she becomes more and more convinced that she could never be what he really needed. This was something far different than what I had expected, but that ended up being a wonderful thing! A completely different look at the Masters of Club Sin that gives you such a good look at what it truly means to be with someone. *This book was received in exchange for an honest review*

great continuation to this sexy series!

This latest entry in the Club Sin series (can be read as a standalone) is the story of Sawyer and Chloe. Sawyer is a cop and in his spare time a Dominant at Club Sin. But lately, he's been kind of bored with the scene, and finding himself not giving it his full attention. The reason? His attraction to Chloe, a private investigator who works with his friend Porter (also a Master at Club Sin). Teaming up with Chloe to find the man who brutally attacked his sister is the first step to getting her into his bed. But she's innocent of his late night doings and he's hesitant to bring her fully into his world. Will he choose the safety and security of his sex club life or dive into something new and refreshing with Chloe? I really enjoyed this story! Sawyer is yummy all around - handsome, strong, and confident whether it's in his job as a police officer or a Master at Club Sin. His attraction to Chloe is easy to understand. Unlike the submissives he's used to who might feign innocence as part of their play acting, Chloe really is innocent. She's not a virgin, but she's never experienced anything like the sexual dynamo that is Sawyer and he can't help but want to keep that to himself. They have an instant sexual chemistry and Sawyer isn't above using her attraction to him to further their relationship. At the same time, he can't picture her at Club Sin, and he doesn't want to. He wants to open her eyes to the possibilities of what could be in their relationship all by himself. This isn't the first story in the series to keep the majority of the action away from the club (Freed also centered on a relationship outside of Club Sin) and I thought it was interesting to take the dynamics of a D/s relationship and set them free of the expectations one would find at the club. Chloe is an equally interesting character - she's friendly and strong willed and a woman in control. But she's never had a man like Sawyer pay attention to her and she finds that letting him take charge is quite liberating for her - with the clear understanding between them that it's in the bedroom only. And Sawyer finds that he likes that she's not under his thumb 24/7. He likes her spark, her feistiness and doesn't want that to change. When Chloe experiences her first visit to a sex club, and realizes that she doesn't want to do what she sees there, I really liked that Sawyer didn't try to change her mind and convince her otherwise. He too sees that their relationship is more valuable than trying to make someone into something that they aren't. We get to see some of the other characters in the Club Sin world, Sawyer's friends who have made up a big part of who he is today. I enjoyed their interactions as well, and their friendship with Sawyer, trusting that he is making the right decision for himself in going all-in with Chloe. It wouldn't be a Club Sin book without lots of steamy sex so we get that in abundance. It was fun to see Sawyer open Chloe's eyes to how letting him take charge could make things that much better for her. But even without the sex, their relationship is fun and invigorating. There are some great action scenes in the hunt to find Sawyer's sister's attacker and that added a good punch to the story. It was a very enjoyable read. 4.5 stars.

    Stacey Kennedy keeps it interesting

When circumstances throw Chloe Nash and Sawyer Quinn together, the heat that has been on low simmer between them bursts into a big flame. Chloe is certainly not anything like Sawyer's usual. For someone in the P.I. business, Chloe is fresh and innocent and very appealing to Sawyer and Sawyer wants to keep that innocence all to himself. But will the one thing that attracts Sawyer to Chloe the most be the one thing that keeps them apart? How can Sawyer reconcile that need with his lifestyle as a Master at Club Sin? COMMANDED takes us in a whole new direction as we explore the complications that arise when a Dom falls for a woman with submissive tendencies but with no interest in the BDSM lifestyle and how they navigate those complications in an entertaining and erotic read. I love the Masters of Club Sin and have certain expectations of them but COMMANDED shows us a different side to Sawyer: possessive but not overly so, tender, protective and charming and I love the fact that he respected Chloe's professional abilities and did not try to control her. Chloe is confident and good at what she does and thankfully not jaded by the things she sees in her work and while she is the most unlikely match for Sawyer, they fit like two pieces of a whole. I was quite surprised at the twist in the story but I like that Ms. Kennedy introduced something different to the series and I look forward to seeing how these two parts of Sawyer meld in future books. I don't think the twist with his sister was needed because Sawyer and Chloe were enough to keep me entertained. With this new installment, Stacey Kennedy keeps it interesting and shows why her Club Sin series is so highly anticipated.
