  • The best in the series to date

Red War by Kyle Mills is, I believe, the best in the series to date. Since taking over the franchise, Mills has taken Vince Flynn’s characters and elevated them to ever more impressive heights. I know that can’t have been easy, and is a testament both to the solid foundation Flynn laid early in the series and Mills’ own creativity and ability to build on it. I was happy to see the setting changed to Russia for a refreshing change of pace from the Middle East. Krupin is a deliciously evil bad guy and I thoroughly enjoyed the reappearance of Grisha, I think he’s a good addition to the regular cast of characters. Mitch Rapp is, as always, on top of his game and impressive in the execution of his mission and anyone who gets in his way. Action-packed from beginning to end, this is one you should block some time to sit down and read in one sitting, it’s really a fantastic adventure! I received an advance copy of the book for review. My review was first published 9/25/18 at www.beyondjustbooks.com

  • Applicable to the story.

It was a different take on Mitch. Dealing with the Russians instead of the middle east, or in the US. Plus, you see more of his support team helping, out side of Nash and Coleman. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • Enjoyed another Rapp story

Enjoyed another Rapp story. This one in Russia. Not as busy as some earlier novels.
