  • As good as always

I've yet to have a bad book by this author, so it's no surprise that this one was excellent. The plot is painted gloriously thickly from the start - Good versus Evil! Light against Dark! - and that layer is not to be taken too seriously. The deeper text seeps through... although that does get ladled on quite generously, too, towards the end.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Spiderlight

A great Fantasy tale. Witty, well written, with great characters and smartly built on all that came before. For my money, a must read. Even if you are not a Fantasy reader (which I am not).

  • An original narrative

I started out thinking that I wouldn’t probably finish the book because it was a little odd and unappealing but it got better and better. An interesting premise with a lot of thought provoking ideas

  • Not just a bunch of murder hobos

Tchaikovsky takes what could have been a straightforward sword-and-sorcery tale and makes it both twistier and more philosophical than you'd expect. Recomended unless you're arachnophobic.
