  • What was up, Now is Down!

This story was just... WOW! I can't believe the jump from Ironheart to misrule. Jodi just hit the ground running with this one. If you found the first two books a little tame, you better pull up your socks and prepare yourself. The fearies are not playing games anymore. Well, I guess they still are, but there's really no coming back from these endings. We definitely get a lot more character development from the support characters such as Holly, Cardi and Phil. There isn't as much Finn as he is off in faerie land, but it's also nice to see the snippets of his individual perspective. Pearl really has to grow a lot in this book and use all her brain power to work this problem out before it's too late. I think she learns to seek support more from others instead of feeling responsible for fixing everything alone. BUT THAT ENDING!!! OMG, I seriously hope that this is not the last book. I felt like a lot was left unsaid. Sure you can mask it as leaving it to the reader to decide, but I WANT MORE! I do feel like that the book was really building momentum towards this end point, but then it went so quickly that I feel like more could've been said. UNLESS, if there is another book coming then it's a perfect opportunity for it to be said there. Anyway I still love this book and the series as a whole. I Love that it's set in Australia. I didn't have many books like this when I was growing up and I really want to support the so kids out there can see their own backyard on paper. Even if its fictional. I really think if you haven't that you should give this story a read.

    Thanks for your feedback!
