Bibi, Tina, and Alex are looking forward to the Falkenstein endurance race, and plan to enter as a team. Then Elisabeth, whose mother is a friend of the Count's, pays them a surprise visit. She wants to compete in the race too, but she can't ride alone. She decides to win Alexander for herself instead. Will she succeed?

Roger invites his sister Tina, Bibi, and Alex to the circus, where everyone is mesmerized by the daredevil tricks of the Circus Princess. When the performance is over, the friends decide they just have to meet this girl. Tina, however, is not pleased with how eager Alex is to get to know the pretty circus star!

Bibi and Tina travel to England with Alexander and his father Count Falkenstein to visit the Lady Bedlam's stud farm. They're invited to the McIntosh Junior Gallop race, in which a team from the farm is supposed to be competing. But they don't show up, and suddenly Bibi and Tina are at the starting line with the local boy Tom!

Shortly before the summer break, Bibi is allowed to visit Tina's class, and ends up summoning her favorite mare Sabrina. The kids love it, but all the whinnying and laughing gets on their teacher's nerves. Thinking a little joke might lighten him up, Bibi casts a spell to make him whinny like a horse. But then the reverse spell won't work!

The Doctor answers a psionic distress call from England in the 1920s. There, at a fairground, he is reunited with an old friend: Harry Houdini. But how does Harry knows so much about Tegan? A far more sinister and familiar presence is lying in wait...
