    Amazing Debut!

What got my attention to start reading Everless is the summary and the cover. I was so engrossed in the pages that I wish that the end had more pages! The story is so twisted, the characters are even more interesting. There is so many secrets, mystery, hints of romance and danger at every turn. Sara Holland's beautiful debut will definitely an amazing read that will capture the readers attention and wish you had the second book in your hands. The Kingdom of Sempera is where time is the currency, which is extracted from blood and added to another's own lifespan. The Gerlings have lived centuries. Then we meet our main character Jules Ember. She is a strong female lead who is in need of saving her father who is her only family. After being sent away from Everless as a child, she must go back in order to save him. Jules is very fearless and smart. She cares more about helping others than helping herself. The ending will completely shock you as you won't be expecting it at all!! I was in total shock that I didn't even see it coming. There is betrayal and many secrets that Jules will uncover about the Queen, the Gerlings and and most of all herself. I will say that one character surprised me the most throughout the entire book and I was happy with who is was. I found that he was more firm with his decisions and kept to himself for many reasons. Overall, Everless was a fantastic debut to this series!! Now to wish for book two!!!

    A new favourite

This book is by far one if the greatest books i have ever read. Its like reading a mixture of all of my favourites. This thrilling novel beautifully combines suspene, fantasy, tragic, and Jules' deepest secrets, all written with words and poetry that will change your life. An absolute MUST READ.

    A Slow Burn

Well that was worth the wait! I've seen and heard a lot about this book and picked it up on a whim (and partly because I wanted that beautiful cover on my shelf), and my curiosity grew until I couldn't resist any longer. And boy, was it worth it! The story, characters, and lore are all engaging, and while it might be a little slow for some readers, its twists and turns will keep you going until the shocking finale. I love the way the crux of the story--time being currency--was presented. It made sense and I never felt lost. The world and its mythology was inventive and engaging. I also really liked the characters. Jules is someone many people can relate to and cheer for, Roan is an absolute sweetheart, I adore Ina, Caro was fascinating, and while I struggled with him in the beginning, I will admit that Liam was more complex than I anticipated. All of this was great, but it was the shocking ending that really got to me. I honestly didn't see any aspect of it coming, which left me clamouring for more adventure and excitement. I honestly can't wait to see what happens next!

    Good book but predictable

I enjoyed the story and the flow of the book. I just found the story line a bit predictable and the love story very unnatural. I hope as the story continues on that the characters develop and become more interesting!!
