  • Love this couple!

The Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team has had my heart from the beginning. I guess that's only fitting since Ransom started it all, and he's one of my favorite heroes ever. That's not to say I don't have room for more, and each new book in this series gives me another swoon-worthy hero to gush over. Devante is just so adorably sweet with Eden - at least he is until it's time to not be so sweet (Ahem, you know the times I mean.). Devante has some things to work through as he tries to find his place in this family. The LSERT team may not be family by blood, but they and those who are LSERT adjacent are a family. It takes Devante some time and soul-searching to let go of some past hurts and humiliations and accept the friendship and loyalty the LSERT gang has to offer. Eden has a past that could end her if it catches up with her, and since this is the LSERT team, something dangerous pretty much has to happen. I'll stop there before I give away too much, and sum it up by saying I loved this 6th LSERT book, but I expected nothing less from Laramie Briscoe. We do get a little peek at the next couple in the series, and I can't wait til that one makes an entrance.

  • Absolutely Amazing and Emotional Book

This is book six in The Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team Series and it is Devante and Eden's story and omg what a emotional story and a must read. Devante and Eden have both moved to Laurel Springs and over the time that they have been there the friendship between them has grown stronger so when Eden has a life threatening illness and is taken to hospital it is Devante who is a EMT that looks after her. Things don't always go smooth for them as they have baggage from there past that holds them back and when Eden's past returns putting her in danger Devante will do everything possible to make sure that she is safe and protected but will it be enough for them to get the happy ending that they both deserve only time will tell what the outcome will be. This book takes you in right from the start and kept you turning the pages right until the last one and I couldn't put it down and you are on the edge of your seat with this roller coaster ride of emotions. The connection and chemistry between Devante and Eden was so strong and only got stronger with time as well as there feelings for each other but they were both strong willed which caused a few conflicts between them but they manage to overcome them. The close connection between them all just shows that you don't have to be related by blood to be family and this book certainly proved that and shows you no matter what race or colour we are all the same regardless. The whole crew are really special how they all rally round to help regardless of the situation as they class them all as family which makes you feel as if you are part of them and there with them all going through all the ups and downs of life. There are so many difficult and emotional situations in this story that was so well written and with so much compassion and I felt them all. Laramie Briscoe is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and the depth of her stories have you going back to read more of her books as they are definitely a must read. I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this book.

  • Heartfelt and emotional!

Heartfelt and emotional, Devante's book is the perfect example of why Laramie Briscoe is the queen of small town, blue collar romances. Eden left the big city far behind her, looking for something more. She wanted to build a place for herself in the community, to be of value. She chose Laurel Springs randomly but it was the perfect place to land. Devante left Atlanta, looking for his place. He found it totally and completely. Now he has friends who are truly there for him and a chance at forever with the other newbie in town. Their story was just the sweetest. I fell in love with both Devante and Eden and its no surprise that they fit right in with the MTF and LSERT families. They have learned from their pasts, discovered what they truly wanted their lives to be and work for it. I couldn't put this book down and read it one sitting. All the love for D and E!

  • Fantastic read!

I have read all of the books in this spin-off series of Moonshine Taskforce and I’ve not been disappointed in any of them. Devante is the latest in the Laurel Springs Emergency Taskforce and a wonderful addition at that! The chemistry between Eden and him is palpable. The sparks fly but so does the respect and caring. Both have been hurt in the past and are weary of trusting with their whole heart and soul. They have made some really great friends in Laurel Springs and it looks like this is the place for them both to settle permanently. You can’t help but root for these two as they stumble pass their stubbornness and pride to find learn how to truly love. I never leave spoilers so I’ll just say, grab your copy today and get to reading about this couple today!
