    An eerie short...

Frostbite is a short story of less than thirty pages that sucks you into the world of psychic detective Ivy Granger. Ivy works an eerie case of a haunted house. The writing is fast-pace and light dragging the reader along for a quick read that will have you going back for more. A great tidbit of a story to introduce the series. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy.

    Short but oh so sweet

I was surprised at first to find this book so short. Then I thought how most short stories aren’t very good. But boy was it ever a great start to a series. I loved it! It was packed with so much story. I can’t get over how great the author’s imagination is. I would never have guessed the outcome of the main character’s client. That was so surprising. I can’t wait for the next book. The narrator did such an amazing job. Her voice is perfect for this series.

    Fabulously fun and creepy...

Somehow in the space of a short story the author managed to build a fascinating world, introduce us to some wonderful characters (gotta love Ivy and Jinx), and take us on a fun little creepy adventure that still has me thinking about it days later. All of that makes for an amazing introduction to a series. I know I am a bit late coming to the party (the series is currently on the 6th book with a few novellas thrown in between) but Frostbite was so creeptastic and entertaining, I just have to check out the rest of the series.

    Good choice

Liked how she actually can make a difference. Really like most of the ones I’ve read. Some I’ve found darker than I like but generally enjoy the way they end.

    Frostbite

This was a well written novella. It had a good, unpredictable plot and a quirky sense of humour. I would have rated it four stars but it was a little gruesome for me.
