    Great Romantic Thriller!

Surviving Redemption, Survivors’ Justice Book 1, is a really great read. D. L. Roan has turned out another top notch story. This romantic thriller kept me on the edge of my seat, and up reading half the night. It does deal with the sensitive subject matter of human trafficking, so be prepared for a very emotional story. Grant, a government assassin, and Thalia, a human trafficking victim, meet when she washes up on the island he’s chosen for seclusion. What follows is an intense story of rediscovery, redemption, revenge, and finding love. Though Thalia is a victim, she’s a feisty character with a very strong personality. I really enjoyed reading the adventures these two got into and how they came together. The book is full of suspense, action, adventure, and romance. This series is spun off from the McLendon Family Saga, where I first read about Grant, but you don’t need to have read any of that series to grasp this one. The author provides enough back story without being repetitious to bring the reader up to date. I really enjoyed this book, as I have all of Ms. Roan’s books, and highly recommend it. It’s a must read for romantic suspense fans.

    Surviving Redemption

Riviting. It is a thriller novel that I would very much like to ignore the reality of human trafficking. It is well written, the story line is very believable but also quite sickening because we prefer to ignore this particular reality. While it takes a strong sense of justice to be able to go through reading this story I found it to be time well spent.

Rich, Gritty, Unable to Put It Down

Another incredible read by D.L. Roan. It is definitely darker than the McLendon Family Series that it is tied to, but was a better read for being written that way. It is easily a read alone book/series, but even richer having read the McLendon Family Series and seeing how this story fills out some of the storylines in that series. I won’t lie and say it is a read for the faint of heart, and I may not have been tempted by the dark, distressing subject of human trafficking. I could not NOT read it because I felt personally involved from Daniel’s story and connection to Thalia , Grant and even Gabby. I highly recommend it.
