Overall the story is fairly good just very bare bo

Wait Until Dark is a light romantic suspense novella. Quick paced and condensed, the story feels like a lite romance, almost a diet romance. The story is fast paced and a quick read. The action covers much of the plot. April Vale wakes up beside her dead coworker and at first it looks like she killed him. She doesn't believe it and soon finds out she was drugged. The police are trying to pursue the case as self-defense but April's not having it. She hires private eye Jonah Wolfe and his Maximum Security firm to clear her name. Sparks fly between the two and the danger levels ramp up. The story concludes rapidly in a somewhat predictable fashion and ends with a HEA. Overall the story is fairly good just very bare bones. Not my favorite Kat Martin book but a passable way to pass a couple of hours. My voluntary, unbaised review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

Great introduction to 'Maximum Security' series!

"Wait Until Dark" is a great way to introduce readers to the "Maximum Security" series. Hot sexy investigator Jonah Wolfe is just the type of guy you want for protection. Add in feisty April Vale, the woman that needs Jonah's protection, and the sparks begin to fly as they fall in love and weave their way to a HEA. Filled with drama, suspense, and mystery, you have a complete novella that has it all. Looking forward to reading more of the series, I would like to thank NetGalley and HQN Books for gifting me "Wait Until Dark". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 4.5 Stars!

    romance

This novella length introduction to a new series presents a few of the members of the team as PI Jonah Wolfe is called on to help April Vale figure out what really happened the night before she found herself in a bloody bed with a deceased colleague. The story is short and easy to read with a fairly predictable plot but worked well enough to interest me in reading the first book in the series when it comes out. Thank you to NetGalley and HQN for the ARC – This is my honest review. 3-4 Stars
