  • On The Right Side When It Comes To Love!

This is the first time I have read a Juliana Stone book and did I ever like it! This book had sports, angst, challenges, build-up, romance and sexy times! I am completely looking forward to reading the next two books in the series. Professional hockey player Billie-Jo Barker has always known her priorities. She loved her sport but an injury has her re-evaluating her life. She comes home to family issues, a sister's anger and her own uncertainties. A rare opportunity to play in the men's league gives her hope. However, she is unaware that this is going to be life changing. Business owner and motorcycle designer, Logan Forest has his life all figured out professionally. On a personal note, he is not sure if commitment and long term are for him. He never has a shortage of female admirers but encounters with the Barker triplets has left him messed up. Seeing Billie-Jo's passionate and never give-up attitude, leaves him knots. And maybe wanting something more permanent? The friendship, protectiveness, emotional bond to romantic entanglement that develops between Logan and Billie-Jo is a treat to read. The hockey games are described with precision and you can picture the action. The push and pull that each of the characters feel towards each other is epic. Mix the main story in with Bobbi-Jo and Shane Gallagher (the second installment for the Barker sisters, Collide), Gerald, Gramps, Barker triplet's father, Betty-Jo and some other colourful characters and it is a fun story. Some of the sex scenes were little over the top but overall the reality of the situation was depicted well. Moreover, the explorations that each of the characters has to go through to figure out themselves and their various relationships is worth the time. Definitely recommend this book, if you like sports and love!

  • Loved it

This book is filled with sexist guys who can't believe that a woman is going to play in their night hockey league. This has romance and anger. It is just that good I advise you out there to read it.
