  • Grand scale interstellar adventure. Don't miss it

The author tackles the BIGGEST hard-science topics in a riveting plotline. I haven't read a compulsive page-turner in awhile and this one wouldn't let you put the book down. The pace of the novel is fast, sometimes a bit breath-taking but that's because you're analyzing the science while you're hanging onto the changing developments and there are plenty. A ripping good read!

Good space opera type book, with some interesting twists.

  • Very satisfying sci-fi

I've been meaning to read this book for a long time and finally got around to it. I loved the interspecies relationships. Characters and conflicts are believable. Sawyer might give away the plot's punch line a bit early, but the story is still very satisfying. This is a "feel good" book with intelligence. Also included is a marvelous short story, "The Shoulders of Giants" (widely available for free).

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Excellent, as all his books are

I have read quite a few of Robert J. Sawyer's books and thoroughly enjoyed every one, even when I didn't expect to. I have often looked at them and thought "that doesn't sound like something I would like" but then I end up loving it. I plan to read every one of his books eventually, he tells such a good story, in such a compelling way, I know I will like them all. This was one I have had trouble getting to, and now I am sorry I waited so long. The characters were interesting, the story was original, it was easy to read, and I was sorry to have it come to an end.

    Thanks for your feedback!
