Denmark is a head I originally wrote for solo piano based on Chick Corea's Spain. Twenty Ten was also originally written for solo piano and is based on a great progression I found on the guitar. I arranged them both for quintet after seeing a local band play having decided they could do with a couple of edgier pieces to play.

Improvisation is a major interest of mine and the majority of the music I compose arises from it. Here are some pieces inspired by the music of Steve Reich, The Yellow Jackets, Paul Desmond, the interval of a 4th, Led Zeppelin, the joy of a good groove and the blues.
