    Adam is one HOT cowboy!!!

This is book one in the Foolproof Love series and it stars Adam and Jules. Katee Robert is a master at the dirty-talking cowboy. I love the way Jules and Adam met, like it was natural, and everything took off from there. He is seriously one sexy cowboy! They are so different they're actually perfect together. Jules and Aubry are awesome besties! They understand each other like no other. They both have their own little quirks and Aubry is a little strange but they have an amazing friendship. Great story! I love the best friends story line and the sexy, romantic story line. The writing style of this author is fantastic and I can't wait to read book 2 I received a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.

Great start to a new small town series!

Devil's Falls might be a small town, but it's got a lot of heart, and Jules loves living there. She never had any desire to leave her home and she's settled in nicely, following her dream of owning a cafe, complete with cats to lure in customers who might be lonely and looking for a little feline companionship for an hour or so. Sure, she'd like to have a husband and children one day, but so far, that just hasn't been in the cards, at least not since her long ago breakup with Grant. Now that Grant is back in town, she can see just what a narrow escape she made, and doesn't envy the woman who ends up with him anymore. But Grant seems to think she's fair game so she needs a fake boyfriend to convince him to leave her alone. Enter Adam, bull rider, local boy made good who just never stuck around, back in town to find out just what his mother's been keeping from him. Jules and Adam might be seven years apart, and he may have gotten used to her hanging around when he was with her cousin Denny (one of his best friends) but they're all grown up now, and Adam is quite happy to help Jules play her game. What he doesn't count on is the unexpected rush of attraction to this woman, and the things she makes him long for. Can Jules show Adam that home really is where the heart is? What a fun and sexy read! There are two relationships in this story that I enjoyed equally. The first is Jules friendship with her best friend Aubry. Aubry has her back no matter what, is willing to defend her to all manner of scum (like her ex), and pulls no punches when it comes to telling Jules like it is. As a secondary character she is hilarious, and I really enjoyed the scenes with the two of them. But of course the main attraction is Jules and Adam. Now Adam is a nice guy at heart, even if he's been gone from town for a long time. He's back because he knows his mother is sick, even if she won't tell him exactly what's wrong. His worry for her and his feelings that maybe things would have been different if he'd stayed home weigh down his conscience. But when Jules approaches him about faking a relationship, it certainly takes his mind off his troubles, if only for a little while. They have great chemistry together and there are some super sexy scenes between them. At the same time Adam is up front with Jules that this thing between them, even if they are enjoying themselves, can't become something stronger because he doesn't plan to stick around town. Jules is okay with that, though she finds herself falling for him. Of course she'd like him to stay, but in order for that to happen, Adam has to come to terms with some things from his past, and what he really wants for his future. Adam, Denny and Quinn are a trio of friends with their own particular brand of bromance. They are quite an amusing bunch, and at the same time they have some deeper issues to contend with. And Adam's relationship with his mother is important too. Though there are some scenes that are more emotional, the overall tone of the story is fairly lighthearted. I really enjoyed all the characters in this town, the sexy times and the sweet romance. Jules is a lovely, warm-hearted woman and it was great to see her get her happy ending with Adam. I'm looking forward to more in this series (and seeing who will take on Aubry!).

    Witty, funny and hot read

Foolproof Love is the first book in Katee Robert’s new series, Foolproof. I adore Katee Robert’s books, they are always so addictive and this book will get you from this first page. We have our quirky, fun and loveable heroine, a sexy alpha rodeo cowboy and an ex-boyfriend who thinks he has what all the girls want. Perfect combination for a hilarious and swoon worthy good time. Jules Rodriguez has always been a little quirky and the town “good girl”. For the most part she is okay with being labeled as such but the day her ex-boyfriend comes back to town all that changes. He thinks they can pick up where they left off before he broke her heart and dumped her before heading off to college. Now as a successful business owner of a cat café and coffee shop, Jules knows she no longer needs a man like him in her life. However her ex is relentless and thinks Jules is playing hard to get so when they bump into each other at a party she decides to tell him she has a boyfriend, only she doesn’t. In comes Adam Meyer, her cousin’s insanely hot friend and rodeo champion, who just happens to be in town for a short while visiting his sick mother. When Jules ask for help to throw off her ex Adam doesn’t know what to think but after one scorching hot kiss he is more than willing to help Jules with her plan. Adam Meyer left his hometown in the rear view mirror after high school and a deadly crash killed one of his friends. Now he has come back home for temporarily to help is ailing mother but will leave again just as soon as she is better. When Jules asks him to play along and pretend to be her boyfriend he is a little shocked but can’t resist giving the beautiful woman in front of him a little kiss to help her out. Who knew that one kiss would change his whole life. Adam and Jules were so hot together and I love how she was able to break down his walls and help him heal from the tragic car wreck that changed his life. I would highly recommend this book to others. I received an eARC of this book compliments of the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. All ratings and opinions stated are my own.

Pretend relationship romance with country flair

Foolproof Love is the first installment in Katee Robert's adult contemporary romance series titled Foolproof Love. This was a likable and very sexy pretend-relationship romance with a country flair. Family issues created some unexpected emotion which added a bit of complexity to the characters. I enjoyed this novel and thoroughly enjoy Katee Robert as an author. Check it out! My favorite quote: "Some things you can't fix, no matter how hard you try."

    Steamy and Sweet

I'm a huge fan of Katee Robert and never let a new release pass me by so I was excited about this new series. Foolproof Love is equal parts steamy, sweet and fun with major emotional undertones and was a very enjoyable read. Jules Rodrigez is tired of the labels the folks in Devil's Fall have given her. Cat lady. Spinster. Good girl. Boring. Quirky. So what? She loves her small town and she's living her dream of owning her business even if it's not necessarily a conventional one and she hopes to settle down and have a family someday, but it certainly won't be with her entitled jerk of an ex who dumped her on his way to college ten years ago for being too boring. Now he's back and thinks she'll meekly fall in line with his plans for her. He's in for a rude awakening because boring Jules is about to set the tongues wagging as she convinces bad boy Adam Meyer to pretend to be her boyfriend to discourage her ex's advances. Adam had been labeled by the town in his day too and those labels have remained even after twelve years away. Trouble maker. Bad boy. No staying power. Adam hasn't looked back since he left Devil's Fall years ago and he hasn't settled in any place since then either, but his mother's deteriorating health brought him back home, temporarily of course. Jules's proposition, while out of left field is something to take his mind off his worries but the chemistry between them is mind blowing and soon he is tempted to make their fake relationship a real one and is thinking about planting roots in very place he ran away from. But until Adam can come to terms with his issues and stop running, he can't be the man Jules needs or give her what she wants. Three cheers to both Jules and Adam for breaking away from the labels and well, scandalously is the only way to go. They both showed that there was more to them than everyone saw and I liked that Adam stepped up when he needed to. I especially loved Jules because underneath the good, sweet girl was a hot tamale and Adam knew just the right buttons to push to bring her out. And the sexy times? As hot as fire. I enjoy Ms. Robert's writing because she knows how to balance the steamy parts with the emotional upheavals her characters go through in a way that pulls the reader in. And I'll definitely be back for more from the series. Disclaimer: I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review.
