    A thrilling tropical storm

For the last decade, Archer Banks has been living the dream, spending every day with his two best friends as scuba instructors - doing what they all love - while enjoying cool water, warm weather, hot sands and steamy nights... until one phone call threatens to shatter everything he has worked hard to build and protect. Can his friendships survive the upheaval that is Archer's true identity and history? Will his long time confidants stand by his side when they learn the secrets he's been hiding from them? From the first page, you get a feel for Archer's lifestyle and the kind of person he is and wants to be. You get a glimpse into what it's like to be with a group of divers, and, what I appreciated is that you're given enough information to get the idea without a system overload. You'll be able to feel a warm tropical breeze, sand between your toes and salt on your lips.. every time I put the book down (which wasn't often) I was slightly shocked back into reality. I feel like I was able to experience some of the sights/senses described in the book. And, while I while I would like to praise Jayne for being conservative on the descriptions of diving (Not one of my interests, personally) and the locations, she does not skimp or disappoint when it counts! There is no shortage of detail when things heat up, and boy do they! What I loved: This story really surprised me! I had an expectation of what it would be like when I started reading it but I was not prepared for the action and drama which made the book a bit of a thriller. This story has so much jam-packed into it! Rags to riches, riches to rags, treasure, danger, love, hate, lust, violence, mystery, suspense, manipulation... I could really go on. What I liked: Like many of Jayne Rylon's books this can be read as a stand-alone novel, and is the first in the new Divemasters series. One thing I particularly enjoyed is that if you're a fan of her books, there's a few cross-references that enrich the story, but won't negatively impact anyone who hasn't read her other work. What I didn't like: ... It ended.

A Great Start to a New Series!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. What a magnificent start to a brand new series that is close to Jayne's heart. Going Down takes us to the beautiful waters of Bonaire, which sounds delightful I might add. We learn about SCUBA diving with three hunky men that have been best friends for 12 years. But there are some secrets that Archer is hiding from his two best friends that he has no choice but to reveal now that his father has died. We start off with his struggle of hoping his friendships are strong enough for the truths he has to tell. This first installment of the Divemasters series is quite a roller coaster, a sexy roller coaster. The relationship between Archer, Tosin and Miguel is a great one and stronger than they even realize. When Banks shows up with some good news and a yacht filled with luxury, a staff and the lovely Waverly the story only gets better. Archer and Waverly knew each other when they younger but haven't seen each other in years. The sparks fly again immediately. This book contains sultry heat, with some laughs, some suspense and some great diving lessons! I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

    Sea, money, and friends!!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review... Sea, money, and friends. The friends love the sea so they have made a career out of it. They go where the job is and live on whatever resort they can find and play the rest of the time. Archer, Tosin and Miguel appear to be living the life of Divemasters and beach bums. Unfortunately, Archer gets a call that changes everything. His other life has come calling and he can no longer hide. Archer Banks is not poor well his father is not and his father just died and it turns out he did not write Archer out of the will after all. Archer just became a billionaire. What will Archer do with the money? Will it change his friendships? Another must read!!!

    Going down

Loved the sassy dialogue and the clever thrown in suspense story. Entertaining read and made me buy the next two books in the series. Can’t wait to start book 2.

Loved this! Great start to a new series

I was very fortunate to receive an ARC copy of this latest book by the incredibly talented Jayne. As a keen diver herself Jayne was able to give great details about diving which added to the readers experience of understanding the world in which our hero's live and love. Our hero Archer has just lost his father, not a fact that upsets him but it does come with a great deal of responsibility! But with this Archer is able to begin a new chapter in his life with his best friends and fellow Divemasters, Miguel and Tosin. The relationship between the men is strong and even though at times there is conflict between them, they love each other as brothers and that love sees them through anything thrown at them as they move through their newest life changes. I won't give spoilers but I loved how the men were together,so very in tune even in the "black room". There is a slight tie in to the Men in blue series, with Archer and our heroine Waverley being teenagers and friends before Archer left after his father used him and Waverley. Archer's father was involved in the drug that effected so many of our beloved Heroes/heroines from Men in blue. After doing something that Archer blames himself for he leaves Waverley behind, even though he loved her and began his life as a Divemaster. They are reunited as a result of Banks, the family butler, who always looked out for Archer.Tensions run high to begin with but Archer and Waverley have always been drawn to each other and cannot deny their feelings. After the truth comes out they are able to be together. In typical Jayne fashion though the road to HEA isn't an easy one and we are immersed into suspense and intrigue, with our Heroine's life on the line! But being the woman she is she rescues herself and is soon reunited with our hero, but their bond is forever cemented with his two best friends in board. This is the first in a new series, with suspense, angst, laughs and love and sexy times! Cannot recommend highly enough, pick it up you will be glad you did
