    Awesome

How the heck did I miss the fact that this had a huge cliffhanger???? Yep those were the words (well close to them anyway) I was screaming when my kindle hit the wall!! The story is definitely worth it though. This book sucked me in right away and there is definitely a lot going on. So that should have been my first clue, no way could everything be wrapped up with just one book. It has it all. Passion, romance, secrets, mystery, intrigue and wildly crazy family dynamics. There are great characters too. Some you love, some you hate but they all provoke an emotion of one form or another. Emily and Shane have wonderful intense chemistry but with all the crazy and secrets surrounding them will they be able to hang on to each other? Should they?? Can! Not! Wait! for the next installment in this series! Highly recommend this one but know going in that it will get you hooked and this is book 1 of 4 so be prepared for the cliffhangers coming your way.

    Hard To Put Down!

Can I just say Wow! ok, I will, Wow! Lisa Renee Jones has done it again with a new series about greed, lust, lies and family war in a novel described as Wall Street meets The Sons of Anarchy. The action here starts from the beginning pages and keeps right on going until the very end of the book, where, we are left clutching our heads for more. This is, of course, the first book in the series, and in true Lisa Renee fashion, we are left dangling like bait on a hook. But that's what makes it fun, if not a little frustrating. We start at the beginning with a young woman who witnesses her crime boss brother beat a man just for flirting with her. Six months later we are introduced to Emily, who bumps into our deliciously alpha hero in a coffee shop. She grabs the wrong coffee, which leads to a fascinating conversation with Shane Brandon, lawyer and now soon to be CEO of Brandon Enterprises. A company with arms everywhere that are dirty that Shane is trying to clean up. Emily runs off, which, as it turns out, she's awfully good at doing in this book. Of course, she runs into Shane again, and when they hook up...let's just say you'll need a fan, a bucket of ice, and probably your air conditioner just to cool down because the sex scene is so hot! But, secrets abound, and Shane is also dealing with his dirty brother and his father, who's dying, but still making life difficult. And Shane knows Emily is hiding something, if she'll just open up. So much going on here, but you need to read this for your self. Trust me, you'll love every page of it, right up until the cliff hanger of an ending.

Review: Dirty Money 1: Hard Rules

Hard Rules by Lisa Renee Jones is the first book in her brand new series Dirty Money. In true Lisa Renee Jones fashion, the suspense is high, the steamy factor is scorchingly off the charts, and the story just flows from page to brain to paint the pictures for you as only a great book can do. Emily is hiding all her darkest secrets and when she meets Shane, by chance, she feels a strange connection to him. When she has vowed to keep everyone out, she wants nothing more than to let him in. Shane is doing everything within his power to take his family's business and legitimize it. His dying father and warped and sinister brother are doing all they can to prevent him. So when he encounters Emily in his building she immediately enthralls him, being a bright spot in an otherwise terrible day. Ending on a cliffhanger, as only LRJ can manage I am chomping at the bit for the next book in this series, Damage Control expected February 2017.

Coffee is too Good to Pass UP

Jones' characters remind me of a Newton cradle. (Steel Ball Desk Toy) When one has a problem or needs a solution the other swings with an answer. Shane Brandon is a savvy lawyer who has come home to clean up the family business and keep it healthy while his father is struggling with cancer. A mix up in a coffee shop brings Shane in contact with Emily Stevens. This duo so burdened with darkness find light in each others' eyes. This is the first in the Dirty Money series that has a mild cliff hanger but many interesting auxiliary individuals. Best bet on Jones' books is to have them all tucked away on your kindle and read one into the next. "A copy of this book was provided by St. Martin's Press via NetGalley with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and my comments here are my honest opinion."
