  • It's a Home run!!!

A very enjoyable read,I don't read many sports romances but when it comes to baseball I will definitely give it a chance. This is the 3and and last book in the Texas playmakers book series,I'm going to miss reading about the Ramsey brothers.

  • Second Chance Romance

Scoring Position, the third in the Texas Playmakers Series by Joanne Rock brings the reader again to Last Stand, Texas. To be a small town it sure does boost some great athletic members. My small town would be jealous. Putting that thought aside, Wes Ramsey is on the rise in baseball. His dreams have not changed, neither has the love for the one person he wants to share those dreams. There’s the hitch. Six years later, nothing has changed with Emma Garcia, she wants roots not travel ball. This second chance romance is sweet with heat. It is believable because this couple has a history, it is not instant anything, it is more denial of everything between them. Wes is determined though. It is difficult not to swoon over Wes because let’s face it, we all would like to be unforgettable to at least one person in our lives. So I was rooting for Wes from the beginning, thinking it was best for them both. There is also another subplot that with Emma’s friend, Alexis and Wes’ friend, Ty. In both these couples’ stories there is a such strong proof of how adverse experiences in childhood follows into adulthood. However, these characters show resilience, growth and spirit. An enjoyable book that is also inspiring. An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • second chance romance

This wonderful Second chance love story based in Last Stand, Texas stole my heart. I love the Ramsey family well some of them anyways and I am so happy to finally get Wes' story. Wes and Emma are the last to fall and when they fall they fall big time. This couple were high school sweethearts but Emma knew she wanted to stay in Last Stand after college to teach but Wes well he was always set to be a baseball star so she let him go to follow his dreams. Funny how life leads you were you need to be and it leads these two back to Last Stand and each other. I hope that our author will give us another book with this family and catch us up with them.

  • A fun Read

This is the third book in this series but I had no problem following the story even though I haven't read the previopus two books each is total stand alone Emma Garcia has always lived in Last Stand Texas and know she is ready to settle down and start a family so it is time to leave good time guys like her ex Ball player Wes Ramsey behind and look for a m,an that will give her what she dreams of. So why when Wes walks into the bar where she is on her latest date can she not stop thinking about him. Wes has returned to Last Stand to sort out the family ranch before sporing training starts he knows that he should leave Emma alone but he just can;'t walk away from her Can they both have the future that they want

  • Good

I enjoyed this book & like usual I started the series by reading book 3 first. This second chance at love story was sweet, with Wes trying his hardest to prove to Emma that they belong together, 6 yrs ago & now. His career is the reason they split up, as Emma didn’t want to hold him back but now that she’s stepping up her dating game to find a suitable partner, Wes is more determined to prove it’s him. I enjoyed how author Joanne Rock created a continued chemistry between Wes & Emma as well as working another story in to it as well with Alexis & Ty. I do admit though that I wish there would’ve been more of Emma & Ty. Thank you to Tule publishing for allowing me to read this book for an honest review.
