    Fun, As Always!

Poor Gin Blanco can't catch a break, can she? The latest instalment of the looooong running Elemental Assassin series features our powerful hero coming face to face with a new, terrifying villain. The story changed how she viewed things she thought she understood. Even more of her past was unraveled (seriously, this girl has such an extensive past, it's crazy), and we learned more about the Circle and their connection to Gin. New characters were introduced, one of them being Liam Carter, who I would like to know a little bit more about. Hugh Tucker is also becoming more complex and compelling, and I enjoyed his interactions with Lorelei of all people. I always love seeing the side characters, so I would love to see more of them, especially my main man Owen. Speaking of Owen, while I will never, ever complain about seeing more of him (in every sense of the word :D), I was surprised that given the twist that propelled the story, that Finn didn't play more of a role. I know he went through a lot in a story not too long ago, but I really wanted to hear how this affected him. Gin is always fun, endearing, and tough as nails. The action scenes continue to be creative and feel like watching an action movie or a TV show. I'll never tire of them. The ending was left open, with much for Gin and her ever growing list of friends to battle against, and I can't wait to see how they manage it!

    Spider

A great exciting edge of your seat Story in the ongoing adventures of Gin and company. Destroying the circle and her uncle Mason turns out to be harder than thought. I almost thought this was the end for her but am happy to know her story continues

Good, but maybe time to wrap it up.

Much as I enjoyed the series, especially the first novels, I found that it's beginning to wear on me. The challenges Gin faces start to look very much alike, and her emotional reactions do seem a trifle contrived. I found that I finished this book more out of duty than out of excitement or enjoyment.

    Sharpest sting

This writer continues to enthral the reader. It seems that her books while the continue the storyline the books themselves seem shorter. I hate for them to end so quickly.
