    I Liked It

This book was great in some ways and not in others (but more great than not, so 4 stars). I liked the plot and could not figure out what had happened to Edith. I enjoyed the characters, especially Davy. Manon, she was a bit harder to like but kind of redeemed herself at the end. I hope this becomes a series as I would love to read more about these characters. I didn't like the way the novel jumped from one scene to another without notice but that may have been because I was reading it in ebook format. For instance, in one scene, Manon lights a smoke in her living room and in the next she's throwing a smoke out of a car window. I wasn't sure if this was a writing mistake or a whole different scene. There were a few instances like that. Besides these small annoyances, this was a great read.

    Missing presumed

Loved and disliked and loved again the main character. Her desperation to be loved was hearbreaking. The mystery kept me reading through a few slow spots. Well developed cha racters. Got me thinking about the prison and foster care systems.

    Slow read

I felt like this was a short story stretched into a book. Reading the book felt like a chore and then the ending felt like the author was just trying to finish it up. It wasn't well thought through nor exciting or satisfying. Only read if you want to be bored out of your mind.

    Still Presumed

Loved it. Many twists and surprising turns. Loved the format getting to know some of the main characters and their individual foibles. Kept my attention to the last sentence.

    Missing, presumed

I found this author delivered a riveting story. The characters are genuine, interesting, and perfectly flawed; just like the rest of us. I did not want to put this story down; be prepared for reading into the wee hours, as this author keeps a wonderful tempo of intrigue. I'm on to find more of her Books!
