  • Very insightful

    I really liked this book! It was very insightful into the way others are thinking, how to get them to solve your problems, and some easy ways to practice. This book is very methodical and even has some immediate tips to use, and some exact phrases that would work. Highly recommended!

  • Essential reading

    This is one of those books that everyone should read at least once. I rate it on par with Dale Carnegie's "How to influence People" as one of all time best books to achieve success in life.

  • Well worth it.

    I really enjoyed this book. It truly does show how anyone can be successful in negotiation by combing thorough preparation, emotional intelligence and active listening to any type of negotiation whether it be for business, marriage or life/death situations. I look forward to using the tools in this book.

  • Listen more than once

    Score: 4/5 (listen more than once) Themes: hidden goals, manipulation Summary: the author has an unclear position on manipulating the other party at the negotiation table, at times warning the listener against "winning at all costs" or "extracting a deal" and simultaneously extolling the methods used to do this. His high self-regard aside, the author nevertheless does present valid points about discovering what the other party values, and what you can concede: that which is low value to you, but high value to them.
