Little bit of everything we love

I'm a avid Stacey Lynn reader. Her books range from fun and loose to angsty. 28 Dates is about Caitlin and Jonas and part of the Crazy Love series. OK... I've never had a Friend with Benefits so I can't even imagine what that is like let alone your FWB suddenly saying they want more! Now... Like Caitlin I' had a heck of a time finding someone/committing. Feelings are dangerous... and Caitlin agrees until suddenly Jonas isn't there anymore and it's awkward when they see each other and then along comes a wrench and maybe a little help for Jonas in the form of a dating app. I always enjoy Stacey's books. Her characters are always developed and her story lines just flow. Sometimes I run the gamut of emotions. For 28 I was frustrated, angry, baffled, laughing and slightly traumatized by a foot fetish in public. But never did I willingly put down my kindle and walk away. I didn't stop reading until the absolute last minute and even then I still had my reader open as I was walking out the door!I'm really hoping the next book is about Trey!

    Fun second chance romance

Caitlin and Jonas have been friends with benefits for two years, when Jonas wants more, Caitlin rejects him because she doesn’t believe in happily ever after . Fast forward six months and Jonas hears that Caitlin is going to test a dating app her boss developed. He decides that this is the way to get Caitlin to fall for him, beyond their physical relationship. This book has a nice amount of humor, and I loved all of the disastrous dates that Caitlin had to endure. This is a fun, easy read that was reminiscent of “You Got Mail”. I received a ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest opinion.

    3.5 Stars!

I'm a big fan of guy chasing girl stories and I thought we would see a lot of that based off the book description. Instead this was more of a story about Caitlin coming into her own. Caitlin is the heroine that's afraid of commitment. Her and Jonas has had a friends with benefits relationship for 2 years, until Jonas ruins it by asking for more from her. As much as Jonas loves Caitlin, he knows he needs to moves on when she refuses to date him. As much as I really liked these characters, this just had too much relationship angst for me to enjoy it to the fullest. I hated seeing Jonas dating someone else after Caitlin even knowing he tried with Caitlin and she turned him down. I don't easily relate to heroines who have commitment problems so it was not easy for me to understand her reasoning of letting Jonas slip through her fingers. What I did like was that it didn't take her long to realize she made a mistake. The only problem was Jonas was already dating someone else. Caitlin realizes she needed to put herself out there so she accepts her boss's request to beta test his new dating app for 28 days. This is more of what the book was about. We see her dating all these men who just couldn't compare to Jonas. Little does she know, Jonas has already realized his new girlfriend doesn't compare to her and has ended things. This is purely a personal preference but I just wanted more of this couple together and less the struggle of them finding their way back together. I did really love the ending and that epilogue was incredibly sweet.

    Sweet & Steamy

I loved this sweet, steamy story! This is the story of Jonas and Caitlyn.  Friends with benefits until one wants more.... A beta testing of a dating app, some funny, yet corny Star Wars jokes and a bit of secrecy blended together makes for one heck of a story. Caitlyn is independent and fierce, she is set in her ways until she sees things a different way. Jonas is player wrapped in a romantic cape!  He is swoony and just wowza! This is truly a stand alone, but I have to admit I loved seeing past characters making an impact in this story! You can't go wrong with a Stacey Lynn story.  She writes funny, she writes smexiness and she writes perfectly! This is a quick read, I mean I couldn't put it down until the end!  You are gonna love it!

    A very enjoyable story.

28 Days by Stacey Lynn was good, but not quite what I’ve come to expect from her. Jonas and Caitlin have had a FWB affair for over two years and everything was fine, until Jonas decied he wanted to be a real couple. Caitlin is a commitment-phobe due to her past, and instead of embracing Jonas’ wishes she pushes him away, so far and so badly, he ends things. Caitlin finds herself alone and her app tech boss talks her into testing out his latest design. A dating app, of all things! She’s set to go on 28 dates to find her soulmate. But, he’s been waiting in the sidelines all along. So, now she’s out there in the real world meeting the creepy guys, the liars and maybe, just maybe the nice ones too. When Jonas discovers what’s happening, he takes matters into his own hands. If Caitlin is ready to date, then there’s only one guy for her. Him. he’s loved her for years, she just needs to open her eyes and see him. Who will she pick? Will she see the truth before it’s too late?
