    Love it

The book was a surprise, Tom was a delightful surprise and the way they fell in love for each other was more realistic then any other Ravenel story. I love it, I wished I could have read forever.

    Charming

This was such a great historical romance! I have been a big fan of Lisa Kleypas for many years so I was pretty eager to read this book. I had pretty high expectations for this book since I love the author's writing and have enjoyed other books in the series quite a bit. I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed reading Cassandra and Tom's story. This is the sixth book in the Ravenels series but it works perfectly fine on its own. Readers of the series will appreciate the opportunity to check in with well-loved characters but this book tells its own story. This book tells Cassandra and Tom's story. Cassandra's twin has just been married and she wonders if she will have the chance to do the same. She wants to marry for love but most of her suitors only seem to see her as a pretty face. Tom is a self-made man. He is extremely wealthy and intelligent but many still look down on him because he lacks a title. I loved Tom and Cassandra together. I thought that they had wonderful chemistry with each other and I loved the way they were able to learn from each other. They both seem to be the type of people to jump in and help when that is what is needed regardless of what others might say. They also try to do the right thing which was perfectly illustrated in how they were with the orphan boy who entered their life. At first, nobody believed that these two were suited for each other and it was interesting to see them try to stay away from each other. These two really were meant to be together. I would highly recommend this book to fans of historical romance. This was a wonderful tale filled with fantastic characters, wonderful chemistry, a few laughs, and a swoon-worthy romance. I can't wait to read more of Kleypas's work very soon. I received a digital review copy of this book from HarperCollins - Avon via Edelweiss.

    There is no magic!

Not one of her best! It started strong however it has lost the magic after chapter 4. Disappointed!

    beautiful end to the series

Chasing Cassandra, by Lisa Klepas, became available at booksellers on 2-19-20. Cassandra is book 6 of 6 in Ms Kleypas The Ravenels series. I'm sorry to see this group of characters come to an end. I've been a fan of Ms Kleypas work since the day I read the first page of Secrets of a Summer Night (Wallflower Series #1). I've been playing catch up with her body of work ever since. I rarely give out 5 stars but these characters drew me in & I became invested in their HEA. That's a 5 star story. I'm torn between the twins, Pandora & Cassandra, as to which story was the best. I'll just call it a tie. Tom Severin had an awful childhood but he had 1 advantage over others in his situation. His mind, it's a work of art. He's made his way in the world brilliantly & has all, he thinks, he's ever wanted. Until Cassandra appears, he's dumbstruck. I love how he asks "Can I have her?", like he's buying a horse. That's his mindset in the beginning. It's enjoyable to see him advance beyond 5 emotions to find happiness. Cassandra Ravenel wants love & will not settle. She wants Tom but with love thrown in. She leads Tom a merry chase & I'm so glad they find true love & happiness in the end. There's so much that I'd love to describe but won't spoil it for you. You'll have to become involved in our couples lives yourself. What's next? Who's next? More secondary characters? New characters? I'm on pins and needles. #LisaKleypas #Avon #HarperCollinsPublishers #ChasingCassandra #TheRavenels #Romance #HistoricalRomance

    Wonderful read!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I loved Pandora's character and didnt expect much from Cassandra but Lisa Kleypas blew me away with this book. To me, this book was all about Tom Severin! So many memorable quotes from him such as "she can be whatever she wants on the inside, as long as she lets me have the outside." I cant wait to see where the author does next. New family perhaps?
