Get ready for an awesome adventure!

**Advanced copy received from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review** Jay Crownover is one of those authors that I will always clamor to get my hands on their work. Riveted was no different and I was so ready for this adventure of a story! Dixie Carmichael not only wants to find her "person" she is always the person there to help everyone else, often times at the expense of herself. While she's pretty sure that person that she's supposed to be with forever is Dash Churchill, the former solider turned bouncer at The Bar, she knows he doesn't feel nearly what she does, so she decides it's time to start dating with the use of a dating app. Dash "Church" Churchill doesn't like entanglements. He's lost too many people, most notably women, who are close to him and the last thing he wants to do is go through that again. Couple that with the fact that he hasn't been back to see his family for ten long years, it causes some conflict and hard feelings on both sides. When Church gets the call that the woman who helped raise him has taken a fall and is in the hospital, he decides to head back to his hometown in Mississippi, but nothing can be as easy as dropping everything and heading out, right?! Turns out that Church has told his family that the reason that he's stayed in Denver for so long is because of a girl. While that might be true subconsciously, he's mainly stayed away because he doesn't want to deal with his past. When he's forced to head home, he enlists the help of Dixie to go home with him so they can meet the "girl" that has kept him away. As a series of strange happenings take place, not only is Church forced to face some of the demons from his past, he's also forced to look to the future and what that looks like. Will he be able to get out of his own way and find his own happily ever after? I enjoyed this story quite a bit and I look forward to the next adventure that Jay Crownover chooses to take us on! My fingers are crossed that we might get some more Wheeler!!

    Loved mr dark and broody

4.5 ☆ I have been very intrigued by Church and Dixie's since it was alluded they liked each other. The big broody military man meets the happy ray of sunshine. I tend to really like stories about military men, they tend to have a lot of heavy stuff going on and lots of things they have hidden deep.  Church has so much from his past that we haven't any idea about. I was so engrossed in learning more about him and who he is. I love how opposite they are and how much Dixie helps Church just by being her. I think their story is so sweet and heartfelt, they have fantastic chemistry and have such a powerful connection. I also love the tease of what we will see from Salvaged and now I can't wait to get my hands on Wheeler!

Like a mini movie with a large impact.

It's not easy to listen to your heart, when your head is sending you mixed signals. Her head is telling her, he's bad news. Her heart is drawn to his tormented soul. His head is telling him to stay away. His heart is begging for him to take a chance. Church and Dixie are wrapped up in a ball of confusion. From mutual attraction to dangerous secrets and heartbreaking betrayals this duo is hard to keep up with. Riveted is the first novel that I have read and it is electrifying to the senses how fast paced it is. Like a mini movie with a large impact.
