    Suppression: Nick and Kelsea

Ever since we got a glimpse of Nick and Kelsea's story in Ransom's book....I knew that I wanted more. Let me tell you it was so worth the wait. Kelsea has loved Nick for what seems like forever. She knows that if he gives into the connection that they undeniably share that it could be the best thing that ever happened to them both. She fears that she will never get the future she so desperately wants with Nick but one thing she will never do is give up on the possibility of them. Nick hasn't had the easiest time of things. His past still haunts him to this day. He is forever grateful that Ryan and Whitney did what they did for him but his past still has a stranglehold on him. He has a hard time letting people in and doesn't feel that he is worthy of someone caring and loving him like him....especially Kelsea. He can't no longer fight what he feels for Kelsea and gives into the attraction. Can Nick let go of his past to embrace his future with Kelsea? I loved this book so much and I would highly recommend it to all. I was hooked from beginning to end and hated to see it end. I can't wait to see what is in store next for the LSERT series....well done!!!!!

    Review: LSERT 2: Suppression

Suppression by Laramie Briscoe is the second book in her Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team series. This is the next generation awesomeness of the Moonshine Task Force series. So while readers of the the MTF books will get a kick out of the characters involvement in the LSERT series it is all about the new kids. Suppression is the story of Nick Kepler and Kelsea Harrison and is heartfelt, emotional, angsty and wonderful. Nick was rescued by the Keplers when he was in his early teens. A life of abuse and neglect finally came to an end when he joined their family but it seems as though he has always been waiting for the other shoe to drop. As a result he has never allowed anyone too close outside of the Kepler's. Even Kelsea and he has liked her for a long time. Kelsea knows some of the trouble Nick has had to deal with but she is about done putting herself out there for him. While they excel at friendship he just can't seem to let her in any closer than that. But as they both are drawn to each other and their feelings are obvious Nick is getting better at letting her close. But then an opportunity falls into their laps and they have to completely change their dynamic or risk another's well-being. Loved this so much. There has not been a Laramie book so far that I haven't been invested in and this whole Laurel Springs family is one I love to visit again and again. Enjoy!

Sweet and sexy and so full of big emotions

I don’t know how the author does is. Every Laurel Springs book manages to be even better than the one before it. Sweet and sexy and so full of big emotions. This is not a book you want to read out in public. The fact that that’s exactly what I did is the only reason I didn’t break down into a full-on ugly crying fit. My only option was to remain stoic and blink a lot to clear the tears from my vision. Kelsea is a sweetheart. I’ve adored her for as long as we’ve known her. Sassy, spunky, and utterly devoted to Nick, she’s always been one of my favorites. Nick repeatedly broke my heart. I just wanted to cuddle him close and convince him he was worthy of the love this amazing extended family lavished on him. The unexpected family situation this pair ends up in could only happen to these two. The whole emergency response family would have stepped up, but I’m not sure how many of them would have done so in the same way as Nick and Kels. I don’t know what we should be expecting next, but I know I need to read it as soon as I can get my hands on it. I received a complimentary advanced copy of the book from the author.

Addicting!! You will fall for Nick!

Yes and Thank You! Suppression just hits all the points for me. The steamy and stolen moments between Nick and Kelsea. The yearning that you can feel down to your toes! These two had the chemistry that made the room feel too warm. You have the angst and build up of the slow burn. Then you are twisted with doubt because of Nick. You have no clue how their story will start or end. Suppression is HOT! I could not take myself away from this book. I have been following Laramie's books with these series and it builds upon each other. I love the men of Laurel Springs and growing with the characters. I say it all the time and I cannot help it. Bit these forks feel like family. I hold them near and dear to my heart. If you have been following along from the beginning, that is okay. You still need to start somewhere and Suppression will not disappoint!
