  • Equal Rites

More Pratchett magic, actually a battle of magics: wizardry and witchery not to mention a battle of the sexes. Why can't the eighth son of an eighth son become a wizard? Because he's a she, that is to say she's the eighth son of an eighth son only she's a daugter. Bequeathed a wizards staff by mistake, Esk, with the help of Granny Weatherwax sets out for Anhk-Morpork and the Unseen University on a quest to be the first girl to be admitted as a student of the prestigous institution in the history of the Disc. There is one slight problem; it's against the Lore. This is a fantastic story with that special brand of Pratchett magic. A good laugh with a bit of wise headology thrown in at no extra expense. A great read, I couldn't put it down.

  • Lovely.....

Just finished Discworld's "Equal Rites" (book #3) and looking forward to starting "Mort", book #4 in the series. Terry Pratchett is brilliant!

Intriguing story told with particularly wicked humor and unexpected metaphors. Brilliant example of Terry pratchett.

  • Equal Rites

30 years ago I read my first discworld novel at the age of 13. Reading them again at 47 and nothing has changed. They are still the best books I have ever had the pleasure of reading!

    Thanks for your feedback!
